Dear Friends,
As we approach our historic rendezvous with destiny, we have the opportunity to take back California in 6 days. It is vital that we, the grassroots forces that started this recall, continue our mission to not only see that Governor Davis is removed from office for his incompetence, but to ensure that we elect Tom McClintock. Tom is the only candidate with the knowledge and experience necessary to turn this State back to fiscal responsibility.
This Saturday, October 4, 2003, the first ever Statewide Precinct Walk will take place in at least 49 out of 58 counties across California, touching nearly a million voters across every major population area. We need you to join us in this effort to get out the vote for Tom McClintock.
If you have not had the opportunity to sign up for The Walk for Tom, please visit WalkForTom.com to sign up right now. We'll assign you to a local group in your area!
You can also call 916-446-1246 and ask for Dana or Courtney.
Can you spare one Saturday for the future of our state? We can make a difference in this election...this historic recall election has returned the power to the people, and with your help, we can make it happen!

It's important for all of McClintock's supporters to get out and vote "YES" on the question of recalling Gray Davis.

I started to sign up, but need more info first.
If you know the answers to the following, I would appreciate your help. If not, I will call his office.
1) Is the walk going to be a big group of people meeting in one location and then being sent out? Or is it going to be more decentralized--getting materials sent by email and going out in your own neighborhood?
2) Any estimate on how long it is expected to last?
3) Our club has walked dozens of precincts in our community. Is there a way to get the info to McClintock's people about what we have covered?
Thank you if you are able to help answer any of these.

1) Depends on how many people we get in a given region or area. Likely all the people will meet in one area. Materials will be provided by the campaign.
2) As long as your legs can carry you.
3) Yes, I can get their contact info to you, or yours to them. I'll be getting more detailed info between now and tomorrow evening.

McClintock is a jackass. I hope the Republican Party of California
punishes him severely for his perfidy after this is over.
You can be certain he'll lose his Senate seat if Schwarzenegger loses the recall election, but I believe he should be booted out of state Republican politics in California even if Schwarzenegger wins.

Thanks for the heads up.
We'll see if Hannity can redeem himself with any of the conservative listeners he has lost through his goofball handling of the recall.

I listened.
Two words; DAMAGE CONTROL. He was so hyperdefensive in his "I'm not a spokesman for Arnold" repeated statement it was ridiculous. I'm yelling at the radio "Of COURSE you are!" How about the part where he says "I'm a supply sider" then goes on to talk about Milton Friedman and Shultz. Well, I thought (R)nold was a supply sider, why so defensive Sean, what are you afraid of happening?
Somebody is beginning to get a very dull light bulb glowing in their head about their future...

Thank you for the synopsis. I forgot that the second hour of his broadcast won't be played here until later this afternoon. You've saved me some time. I'll just stick with Savage this afternoon.
Maybe Sean is realizing that he has dixie-chicked himself by thinking of himself as some great persuasive voice for California conservatives. He's just spent weeks irritating and insulting his former fan base.
Like so many Republicans so blinded by the excitement of having a celebrity on "our" side, he may be realizing he sold out for a mess of pottage.
