Gen. Wesley Clarks late-starting presidential campaign shifted into second gear last week with a stop at the Citadel, where he questioned the Bush administrations Iraq policy and laid claim to being the Democrats peace candidate.
But the retired NATO supreme commander did little to dispel suspicion that his run for the White House is being stage-managed by former President Bill Clinton for the benefit of his wife, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.), both of whom deny it.
Force is best used as a last resort, Clark told an audience of some 250 cadets at the South Carolina military college, and never because it just feels right.
As it turns out, Clark was not asked to speak by Citadel officials, who charged his campaign $650 for the use of a parade field. The invitation came from Philip Lader, a visiting professor of government, who served as Clintons envoy to Great Britain.
Lader, who founded Renaissance Weekends, the high-level self-awareness getaways where he met the Clintons, was once dubbed ambassador touchy feely.
Clarks new spokeswoman, Mary Jacoby, former Washington correspondent for the St. Petersburg Times, also has close ties to the Clintons. Her father, Jon Jacoby, is executive vice president of Stephens Inc., the Clinton-connected Little Rock investment bank where Clark was employed after leaving the military. Jacoby has never worked on a political campaign before, but she once had a job as a file clerk at the Rose Law Firm, where Hillary Clinton was a partner.

Its all about control of the DNC in my view. The Clinton's are smart enough to know that Bush will most likely win. That being the case; If Dean catches on enough to win the primary he will have the chance to take over the DNC. Which he has already stated he would love to do and he would love to toss Terry McCaulife out on his keester! Which would mean the Clinton's would lose control of the DNC machine and make it much harder for a Hillary run on 2008.
Not to mention that is all the power Clinton has left.

Force is best used as a last resort, Clark told an audience Most civilized people agree with that statement, but so what? The more serious question is to define what constitutes a last resort. Is it after one year of warnings? Two? Twelve? How many UN resolutions? Five? Ten? Twenty???
When a police officer tells an armed suspect to drop his weapon, when does the officer use his "last resort" option and fire? Does he wait a few seconds after he yells, "Police! Drop your weapon!" or is it necessary for the perp to aim at the cop before the cop shoots? Or, does a last resort not take place until after the perp fires, at which time it may be too late.
In a post 9-11 world, the last resort might very well be use of the first-strike option.

And so the Arkansas mafia rasies its ugly head and once again trys to conquer America. The names Stephens and Moctar Riady sends chills down my spine.

Knew he was the Clinton candidate -- it became blantantly obvious that he got in the race to stop to Dean and maybe pave the way for Hillary!
Don't believe that the Clinton candidate Weasley Clark has any ounce of integrity since he still hasn't registered as a democRAT but is running on the democRAT ticket.

And 'his guy" had to cough up 650 bucks to give his little speech to boot.

I've been waiting for somebody to bring up a relationship between Hillary and Clark. I have always thought there was something going on between them. This guy better watch his back. The last guy (Foster) didn't fare too well.

Has anyone noticed how much Clark and Gephardt resemble one another? The facial structure, the smeller, the lipless slit of a mouth, the snake eyes, same way of combing the hair. If Gephardt had eye brows and their hair and hide colors were the same, they would be identical twins.
One of you Freepers with the talent to doctor photos, could prove this with very little effort. Won't you give it a shot?

General Clark needs to take this statement to Yugoslavia right after he informs co-Presidents Bill and Hill.
