Yesterday evening, I was channel surfing. Landed on CSPAN and watched a moment of live coverage from the House of Representatives. Some woman (D) was reading (poorly I might add) a statement criticizing and condemning every action of the Bush Administration. Switched to the Senate and heard the same thing. By the time I had spent a minute or two at CNN and MSNBC, I was ready to scream. Republicians are so inundated with attacks from the leftist media and every democrat who can get to a microphone, it is a wonder the entire country hasn't been poisoned by these lies.

And the GOP is nowhere to be found.
Hey, WH lurkers (and you know who you are)
end it with the "new tone" already.
You're in a gun fight here, dammit, so throw down
the plastic knife and grab a gun!
*disclaimer: figuratively speaking, of course. ;)

( Clinton met with Monica more than he did his CIA director.)

Unfortunately, it has. Look at the numbers for Bush and you will see the success of the constant negative reporting and sniping from the left. Hopefully, the President is holding something in reserve that will reverse this apparent decline in his popularity. Also hoping that whatever it is will also manage to shed light on the truth behind the lies and deception currently shaping public opinion.
