Probably because the ex-housekeeper was lying. I'll bet that there was some attempted extortion going on and Rush told her to go to blazes, he could survive anything she knew about him.

What is this about her getting a $120k payoff from Rush and another $80k that he "owed" her? Haven't heard much about that lately.

Now this is just my opinion from what I've been piecing together, but I think the ex-housekeeper and her hubby were part of the drug ring that was busted. Since she was the housekeeper, she had access to Rush's computer and may have been making transactions from it. She now says the computer hard drive is erased, yet claims that Rush sent her e-mails. Maybe she or hubby sent e-mails?

Dunno, just speculating here...but the whole thing stinks to high heaven. I hope Rush addresses this first thing tomorrow.

That's what I'm thinking too. And, somebody provided her with a lawyer who is associated with Al Gore.
