(re Waldheim) Of course, you know even as you say that, do you not, that Schwarzaenegger has called his association with, and wedding invitation and toast to, Waldheim a mistake? The latter having occurred when the facts were still getting sorted out about Waldheim having hidden his WW2 activities. Waldheim had lied to everyone for a long time and risen to head the UN and be the pride of many Austrians, all without giving any hint that he'd been a Nazi, etc. For an Austrian-American like Arnold to admire him was very, very common, and not a matter of taste.

You know perfectly well that you are stretching here, JUST to bash Arnold. My sober advice is to keep the "Nazi" powder dry for real Nazis -- and to consider what the NYTimes and its ilk would be doing to TOM if they feared HE might win. Shame.
