[history]
October 3, 2003 -- STILL smarting from the blows it has received in the past two years, the Islamist terror movement is debating a new strategy. Conducted in Islamist circles in Pakistan, the Middle East and Europe, and echoed in numerous Web sites and newssheets, the debate centers on a key question: Which should be our priority target - the United States and its Western allies, or the fragile Muslim states where we could come to power in a reasonable time frame? Some argue that the 9/11 attack against the United States was "premature." They insist that the Islamist movement should have first seized power in several Muslim countries and dotted itself with nuclear weapons before taking on America, which is regarded as "the last champion of unbelief in the world."

Sooooo, Islamunists shouldnt attack us because they will get their arse kicked? Little late for them to realize this now. And as long a the USA is in Iraq, dont bet on any ME country being taken over by Al Qeada.

Well, not only that. But Islamic states don't exactly play by the Marquess of Queensbury rules, do they? No legal rights, lawyers, habeus corpus to worry about. Heck, if the loons don't dare go after us, they sure won't go after states that will shoot first and ask questions later.

Sounds like Al Qaeda is counting on help from the Democrats and the Left. 'Course, they are already getting it.

The leftist pols in Washington have announced that they want us to pull out of Iraq immediately and allow the UN inspectors to take over the search for weapons of mass murder.

Notice that taking Afghanistan then Pakistan was the first major objectie. Wouldn't have anything to do with Pakistan's nukes and missles would it? Fortunate for Pakistan they don't have any oil, otherwise we would have taken down Pak before Iraq (hey that rhymes).

the Prophet's decision to retreat was quickly endorsed by God Himself through a message relayed by Archangel Gabriel.
More evidence that the god of Islam is not God Almighty. I can just imagine God saying "whoa, caught me off guard there dude!, yo, good move Prophet, I wouldda never thought of that!

They *had* power and several homes and now are casting about for any new home.
Kudos to the US military.

This must be Al Qaeda's version of a 4th down field goal attempt with a 40 mph cross wind, from the 50 yard line, early in the first quarter.
