Why wouldn't he just fly on a private jet to Europe, Canada, Centeral/S. America or even Asia to buy his drugs??? It doesn't make sense to be so petty and small when you can be grand and powerful when involved with an addicition.

How do you explain his hearing loss?

I think he's guilty. I just love the guy and I hope for his sake he isn't addicted to pills. Something about it doesn't look good.

I hope he gets help and KEEPS ON TALKING!

I'll keep on listening.

"...I have long known that Limbaugh's gargantuan fraud, lies, hypocrisies and hollow weaknesses would one day be exposed, and that it would be ruinously damaging to the cause of coservatism. That day is not too far in the offing, and I despise the fact that so many so-called conservatives have bought into this despicable fraud and hustler. What were "you people" thinking? "

I don't know about "you people" but this people thinks you must be channeling King Farouk.

That's why the magazine article precedes the charges

The rumors have preceded the mag article.

"If the allegations are true, then in all likelihood, he didn't bill his insurance company for prescriptions, paid cash for his drugs, and failed to keep records for tax purposes because he didn't want a paper trail to follow him around. "

Or how about why bother? With his income range, AMT and the 7% rule for medical deductions I would safely assume there is no reason to keep any paperwork. But why do I need to tell someone as smart as you the obvious. I'm sure there was no malice in your theory.

Yeah - although today he did finally mention that he probably had a job because of Rush - all the complaining phone calls making that point must have gotten his attention.

I liked your theory. At this point, imagination and possibilities are the only way to explore this story. All news this week has sounded like a set up.

The following link has explored attorney connections that might prove interesting. I'll post this thread there for additional input.

Did anyone else notice that the Deputy Sheriff who signed the affidavit is named WILSON? Couldn't read the judge's name.

Now that is an amazing find, Nov3. This study is a product of the very clinic Rush went to for treatment. A coincidence? Or is one of the twelve subjects in the study someone we know?

The date of this study appears to be March, 2000. How does that fit with the timing of his hearing loss?

Actually, Rush appears to have denied that his condition was related to the hearing loss in his family:

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=24842

snip

Limbaugh sought medical attention and learned there is a history of genetic hearing loss in his family. However, Limbaugh said that is not the cause of his hearing loss.

"There's something more going on than that," he said. "I have been through every conceivable medical test and exam this summer you can imagine. All those times that you thought I was on vacation or playing golf, I've been in an MRI machine or getting blood drawn, or on a stress EKG machine or at a cardiologist, wherever, hearing aid doctor, the hearing doctor, where have you."

The situation just continues to deteriorate.

"The bottom line is, from May 29th up until about, I'd say, 10 days ago, I lost hearing every five days, to the point, ladies and gentlemen, I'm now totally deaf in my left ear," he said. "I cannot hear a thing in my left ear, with hearing aids, the most powerful made, mean nothing. I have the ability to recognize sound but not identify it in my right ear."

Limbaugh said he "cannot communicate with people."

"I can occasionally talk to people in person one on one if their voice frequency happens to fit the range that I can still hear, but I cannot hear radio, I cannot hear television, I cannot hear music," he said. "I am, for all practical purposes, deaf, and it's happened in three months. I have been to what I learned were the finest doctors and clinics throughout the country, focusing on one, and every effort has been made to stabilize the loss, with the hope of restoring it. No success has been reported, in either stabilizing it or losing it – or restoring it. Now, all during this summer, the loss, even though rapid, by the middle of July, for example, I was told that from the end of May to the middle of July I had lost what the average person loses in 15 years, in terms of hearing. Hearing aids are of such improved quality today that they accommodated the loss. My hearing wasn't normal, but I could function."

I believe he went deaf in 2001 post this study. It obviously is the place to go for him

You're quite right, this study was done about a year earlier than when he went deaf. But the content of the study sure makes you wonder if he didn't suffer the same fate as the subjects. It surely would be a terrible thing to have inadvertantly destroyed your own hearing.

No malice here. But I'm not willing to sound like the Clinton suckers who jumped up and down screaming about conspiracies only to find out that their hero had been less than candid. If Rush is an addict, then he needs help. What he doesn't need is a bunch of people making excuses for or rationalizing his behavior. Been there, done that.

It is very possible that he did. The kool-aid drinking is out of control on this thread!

Addicts have no problem with denying their drug use or drug problem. They are practiced, skillful and professional performers that can lie very convincingly. They are also skilled and practiced victims that have no problem portraying their victimology for the maxim effect. Rush may well be caught up in a drug investigation and might have obtained some drugs from these people in some misguided fashion that was illegal, but Rush does not portray any signs of a "drug problem" or drug abuse.

Put your money on Rush as having the last word on this subject. I hope the Democratic/Clinton smear machine gets what it has coming to it.

Exactly, I was hoping someone would see my point. I'll wait for the facts and deal with it then. Thanks!
