Scwartzenegger has to win to sow up the state for the Bush candidacy in '04. Now we wouldn't want a true conservative reflecting the disparity between Bush and his counterpart in California, would we?

Enger, if I remember, was not more than 10 points behind frontrunner Blanchard a week before the election.
McClintock, at 16 percent, is 20 points behind Arnold. McClintock possibly could catch Beastie-boy.
But I don't see how he will pull an Engler-type victory and gain 20 points in four days.

13%, and Engler was polling at 38%.

(A vote for McClintock is a vote for Kyle Reese...and a vote against Cruz.)

At this point Arnold is polling 52% in the SurveyUSA poll.
He broke that 50% mark.
Can we all say "LANDSLIDE?"

(Arnold, in spite of a "vote for Tom McClintock being a vote for Pia Zadora.")

You are coorect and the last few that are sitting by their candles holding all night vigils for McClintock cannot give up the fact that MCCLINTOCK CANNOT BEAT ARNOLD. GAH!!! Is this not obvious? How many different ways can this not be spelled out to these McClintock sheeples? I happen to like the guy but it is apparent Californians are sick of career politicians repugs or Demos period!

If Arnold and Cruz manage to defeat conservative principles, we'll all pay the price.

The man hasn't even stepped foot into office and he is already being second guessed.

I thought Republicans were smarter than that. I was wrong.

We shouldn't have to "guess", and his stated positions have tilted strongly to the left overall.

Well, a Milan poll wouldn't choose a biased polling sample. Let me exlain a bit of Democratic statistical methods:
If you want to find a polling area favorable to McClintock, you call an area such as Palm Springs where there are many older folks who have traditional values. Arnold: younger generation in affluent neighborhoods. Bustamante or Davis: call the zoo...just kidding, inner city. "No, I do not recall ever referring to the inner city as a zoo. But to those I may have offended, I am sorry."
