FDR ended prohibition. The Republicans had a lot of support from the backers of prohibition. So there was no real chance with Hoover as President that beer would be made legal again. With FDR it was certain. Putting bucks in FDR's campaign just made good business sense.
The Bush company has been quite liberal at least socially and sexually in recent years. They consistently buy sexually suggestive Budweiser adds in Gay magazines.
I have destroyed the Budweiser sales in an Am-vets or American Legion by just by putting a copy of the Budweiser ads the Anheiser Bush company runs in homosexual magazines on the board at the clubs.
The picture of two "guys" holding hands and a couple of Buds while gazing romantically into each others eyes will triple Blue Ribbon sales in an evening.
