This is my sentiment exactly but I think by calling the kits "go bags" it gives the impression that it would be something you would grab as you were out the door, i.e. in an evacuation after a terrorist attack.

Like I said, hurricane's are one thing, terrorism entirely different.

My husband works for local government and would have to be in a different location froms us on the Emergency Management Team, but I've always told him, even if they tell us to evacuate, you'll find us right here at home because there's no way I'm getting on the roads in an emergency situation.

I've adopted that phrase from the book of Esther, "If I perish, I perish." I'll prepare for what I can prepare for, but I won't follow some hairbrained scheme or evacuation plan that has never been tested.
