'Good news on Davis.

bad news on Schwarzenegger. '
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

While I completely understand that most concervative Republicans (me included) would have loved to see Davis replaced with one of our own, I'm realistic enough to appreciate that there would probably be no good news on the removal of Davis without a Republican candidate like Arnold in the race.

Just a few short months ago I don't think most people held much hope that ANYONE bearing a Republican party designation would ever be able to win in California again. The fact that Arnold has a chance is pretty amazing considering the takeover there by the liberals has been almost complete. With the illegal alien population now a big voting block too, I never expected a Republican would have a chance to sit in the Governor's seat of California again.

As a resident of Oregon - which has suffered greatly from the export of California liberalism - I'm just holding out some tiny hope that a Republican win of any kind might scare up some change for us here. At this point, it's more hope than we've had in a while for the future of the west coast.

While it may not immediately change the tide, an Arnold win would at least throw a large wrench in the massive left coast Democratic machine...
[Also, I do love to hear the liberals scream and I'd love to watch the liberals here in my state break out in a profuse sweat over a California Republican win.]

Then, after your guy wins, I can blame not only him for his total mismanagement...but shills just like you!

Which I'm sure you will do. By the way, how are you not a shill for McClintock, or is that term only reserved for people you disagree with?

You mean that YOU, a Schwarzenkennedy, arnold-groupie, babykiller-abortion-loving-unChristian, RINO had the unmitigated nerve to refer to McNader supporters as "tombots" and thus were scolded? tsk, tsk.

Most polling companies preface their questions with "If the election were held today..." SurveyUSA asks "If you were in the voting booth and had to choose..." (paraphrasing)

Well, then I wouldn't call them "certain voters." I figured they tried to determine how likely they were to ever get to that voting booth in the first place.

You just know that the demoncats will say that he wasn't truly elected if ah-nold doesn't get 50%+1. I have a gut feeling he will though.

Here's my Election Eve prediction:

Davis will be recalled by 8 points. Arnold will win in a landslide, taking 58-60% of the votes (or more!)

I'm series!

Anyone know what the level of confidence is for the poll? The margin of error is pretty much meaningless without knowing the level of confidence.

Yes I had already read it. I thought you were referring to the Schwarzenegger spread but realized after I posted you were referring to the recall spread.... Thanks.

Not to be unexpected that it would tighten some as the voters settle in and come back to their parties somewhat... Taking the spread of 5.6% it could be neck and neck, but I doubt it. My guess is it will still pass in the vote tommorrow. It would take a further swing to offset the probably absentee vote that has already been cast which if it followed polling at that time should be about 56%+ for recall.

I think the last minute slime attacks may have the effect of depressing turnout, which may explain the discrepancy...

Early and often?

Roger Hedgecock just said something very interesting. If the vote is close and a recounting is required, the new gov might have to wait 38 days to be installed. Can you imagine the further damage Davis can inflict in that time?

This is not about personality.
This is not a game.
VOTE unequivocally ARNOLD
