Good Morning FRiends, pizza, did some one say piza...I love it with tons of gooey cheese on it.
I'll put the coffee on before I scoot out the door to attend my second session of our local Quilter's Guild, I'm going to learn how to make a block where all those points meet in the center..it is something I've never been able to figure out how to do!.

I've never had a New York pizza but my favorite pizza joint around here is Papa John's. It comes with this great garlic butter that you can dip it in. Yum!

There should be no problem for New Yorkers to get a really good pizza. Drive 90 miles south to South Philly and go into just about any pizzeria around. They're a lot of good ones near Pat's Steaks.
You feel kind of sorry for folks who can't find a good pizza.

How does one say 'Good Evening' in Italian, Calpernia??!!
At any rate, I wish it for all here, and contribute My First Taste of Pizza as having been in 1954.
Dumped alone in Rochester, NY with a 2-month old baby while my Navy husband was on a 'sunny Mediterranean Cruise,' my sister-in-law introduced me to pizza - the new American craze.
Sorry - it was years before I would eat it again, and never grew really fond of it..:(
On the other hand, after he got out of the Navy in 1956 and we returned there, we rented the second floor of a house owned by the landlady below. She was an elderly Italian and spoke no English at all, but for our first night there, she treated us to The Best Spaghetti I have ever eaten - a truly very simple marinara sauce without things like meat and mushrooms (although I like those and include them in mine) and the most delicate of flavors.
Wish I could duplicate it!

I'm late! Is there any pizza left? I LOVE pizza! I've never had "New York pizza", but I'm sure it is wonderful! :-)
Thanks, Free, for another colorful and fun post.
Hello sistahs and FRiends. Looks like we may have succeeded in dumping Davis at long last. YES!!! We are pretty charged up out here in CA! Would have like to see McClintock elected, but it was a long shot. Bustamonte would have been more of the same old liberal tax and spend, so Arnold is looking pretty good right now.
