An AIDS conference that received $300,000 in federal funds featured political criticism of the Bush administration and workshop programs on thwarting federally mandated abstinence education.

The United States Conference on AIDS (USCA) in New Orleans, sponsored in part by nine federal agencies, was marred by "Bush bashing," said one veteran AIDS activist.

So let me get this straight. Bush showers money on AIDS and gets repaid by a political event at which the recipients bash him and undermine mandated programs. And use our tax dollars to do it.

How many AIDS cases were treated by spending $ 300,000 on a big party and political event?

300K ?? Better read that again!!

>>> NMAC, which receives $4.7 million a year in federal funds, supported protesters who shouted down HHS Secretary Tommy G. Thompson <<<

Let’s see now. It takes the regular working Joe’s & Jane’s 10 YEARS to make 300k and about 156 YEARS to make the 4.7 mil.
We can’t find anything to cut. you need to work harder, pay more taxes.
No need to say more.

Oh yeah, that makes sense! Obviously they don't really intend to try to prevent this disease now do they?
