Ain't that the truth? I think it's because of that meticulous ethic they bring with them, and because so many of the shops are family-owned. It's a labor of love and pride for them.
Winchell's used to be the standard in donguhnut shops when I was growing up, but they decided to compete (at least in these parts) with the Cambodian competition by way of cheap labor. Now they're bottom rung.
