Several years ago, armed robbers kidnapped the wife of the president of a local bank. She was about 65 years old, stuffed in their truck, and held for a day or two. Fortunately, she was released unharmed. Prayers are on the way.

It sounds to me like it was a random crime and not that Mrs. Gregg was targeted.
Thank God she's ok!!! I hope the victim from the other incident was similarly released unharmed.

N.H. senator's wife abducted, released
By Associated Press, 10/07/2003
McLEAN, Va. -- The wife of Sen. Judd Gregg, R-N.H., was abducted at gunpoint from her home on Tuesday morning, but later released unharmed, said suburban Virginia police and spokesmen for the senator.
Police said the woman arrived at her house about 9:30 a.m. EDT to find two men waiting inside. One drew a weapon and demanded cash, said Jacqi Smith, a spokeswoman for the Fairfax County Police Department.
One of the men then drove her to a nearby bank while the other followed in another car. After the men received cash from a teller, they fled the scene in their car and the woman called police, Smith said.
Police would not identify the woman. But Gregg's spokesman, Jeff Turcotte, said it was Gregg's wife, Kathleen.
"This morning, Kathy Gregg was a victim of a violent robbery. Her life was threatened and it was a terrifying experience. Thanks to quick decisions made by Kathy Gregg, she is doing fine and out of harm's way," Turcotte said in a statement.

If this had been the wife of a DemoRat senator, the networks would have broken in even if they were covering an atomic missle heading for D.C.
