Tom is a good man and a good public servant.
You who mock him here do him an injustice.
If he had not been in the debate, our side would not have been heard at all. He was the only one who mentioned illegal immigration, gun rights, and other issues dear to the hearts of (many if not most) Freepers.
I talked to many Democrats who were impressed with how much sense he made.
If Arnold has any decency, he will offer him a job in his administration to, as the author of this thread states, 'bury the hatchet' between the moderate and right wings of the Party.
This is the right thing to do. This is how we effect change.
The hostility evidenced here is very distressing.
Divided we fall!
And don't think "THEY" don't know it!

I'd have been willing to vote for Tom OR Arnold, either one -- whichever one did the best for the Republican Party.

Winning California is a prize worth compromise.
I don't want to have to move! I like it here!
And W needs us too! So... grow up and get it together!

Tom is a career politician, maybe he should get out in the real world and contribute. He showed incredibly bad judgement, he could have given CA governor Cruz. He may have done good in the past, but he screwed the pooch on this campaign, and I don't someone without the common sense to figure that out as a Governor.
