Hillary has GOT to have noticed. Don't expect her to run in 2004. Expect her in 2008 when the demographics have improved.

I strongly disagree; I don't think you grasp the Clintonite mindset. They (especially HRC) honestly believe they are entitled to power, they are anointed. Every loss is a complete mystery to them; the power is in their eyes right fully theirs, only some theft or conspiracy keeps the obvious thing (their election) from happening.

Waiting for later would imply that their message is wrong, or even wrong for this time. Preposterous! The people just haven't been properly educated. HRC will run because nobody else can take the politics of attack to the next level. IMO, 2004 will be a year of unprecedented assault politics, with HRC in the forefront.

Besides, by 2008 we'll be in full boom cycle, Iraq will be free, and God willing we'll continue to prevent Islamonazis from carrying out any more mass death operations here. Nobody could run against that.

If Shrillery runs in 2008 she just might run against the Governator-- of course the prohibition against individuals born outside the US will need to be changed-- but it would make for an interesting election.

Shrillery would attack Ahnold for his past sexual (mis)conduct, and I just want to hear how she'll justify attacking Ahnold while giving her perjuring serial rapist of a husband a pass....

I hope they do it. They'll just further expose themselves as the sore losers they are. Voters will be turned off to democrats more than ever if they do something stupid like that.

If this isn't a clear sign that the democrats don't give a whit about what the voters want, then I don't know what is.

So here's what we have.

More voters turned out for this election than in the previous four regular elections. This kinda blows the "disenfranchised voter" argument out of the water.

The Racial Equality Initiative failed miserably, I still don't understand that one. This kind of blows the "the election was stolen by white conservatives" argument out of the water.

Arnold won by a double digit margin. This kinda blows their "we gotta recount the votes because it was so close" argument out of the water.

And to top it off, as was stated earlier, every Dem that got a camera shoved in front of their face in September said that with the budget the way it was, it was fiscally irresponsible to go forward with the recall. This will make it very hard for them to justify another recall.

That popping sound you hear are heads exploding.

Best Regards

Sergio

Nothing is funnier than DU on election night. I hate to give them hits, but they haven't had a good election in a while - after every new one, they all promise to move to France or some other "enlightened" country away from all the cowboys, but they never do...

I resisted last night, but wild horses won't be able to keep me away on election night in '04.

A typical Dem response. Consider that this recall only passed with 55% of the vote. Even if they got enough signatures for it, they have to sell it to the public. It worked with an extraordinarily unpopular guy like Gray Davis. But it probably wouldn't ultimately work with most governors.

Sure. The threshold for putting a recall in place is a set percentage of the voters in the LAST statewide election.

The threshold for this recall was based on the voter turnout in the 2002 election.

However, this election had a much higher number of voters voting in it, so the threshold for any future recall will be based on yesterday's turnout, until another statewide election is held.

Since 2003's election had more people voting in it than the 2002 election, the Dems would have to work harder and get many more signatures, as the bar has been raised.

Aw, the game's over. Here's why I thought you posted that picture:

1. You're looking for a hugh grant.

2. This is what Maria Shriver could look like if she actually ate food.
