Under the looming threat of indictment, Brooklyn Democratic leader Clarence Norman Jr. received a boost yesterday from a dozen elected officials and a crowd of supporters at a rally - even as other Democrats quietly maneuvered to replace him.
Norman, sounding defiant, blasted Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes for "engaging in a persecution, as opposed to an investigation."
