My take is that greedy Dumbocrats saw the Clintons as their meal ticket. Nothing more, nothing less. The conniving Clintons lived up to the image. They would do anything to get into power and do anything to stay there. The list is long and lurid......they pardoned criminals, sold coffee at the WH, gave every special interest our tax money and unlimited access to our government. They kissed the butts of every hyphenate that walked and could vote, etc, etc, ect, and so on and so forth, ad infinitum, ad nauseaum.
Not to worry. Truth will out, and what goes around, comes around.
It does not matter whether or not I approve of the scenario; Bill and Hillary! getting knifed in the back by the first opportunistic 'Rat smart enough to do the deed, probably Howard Dean. I think that it is inevitable.
The Clintons are weakened by yet another loss in California. People are waking up to the fact that they are poison. And the one sound you always hear in Democrat circles, constant and in the backround like crickets on a summer evening, is the sharpening of knives. Some 'Rat is going to realize they are better off opposing the Clintons than supporting them, and that the only way to advancement is over their bodies. At that point, the deed will be done.
Watch Howard Dean closely.
As for my feelings, they are mixed. On the one hand, it will mean the rejuvenation of the Democrat party and they will be a much more potent force in the future, say five years down the line. OTOH, it will be deeply satisfying to see the Clintons finally taken down by one of their own. Also, the elimination of any possibility the Hillary! might someday be President is a benefit not to be underestimated.
So on balance, I say, "Go for it, Howard!"
Hey, these are 'Rats were talking about. It has nothing to do with like or dislike, or whether or not they have been allies in the past. It has to do with whether or not it would be beneficial to Dean if he were to knife the Clintons in the back.
I think it would and I think he will. This Weasely Clark thing will just push him over the edge, and he will realize that the only way to win is to defeat the Clintons. The Clinton's support in the 'Rat Party is a mile wide and an inch deep. They can be taken.
I wouldn't say they don't trust the people, so much as have deep-rooted contempt for them. One of the fundamental assumptions you must make as a liberal is that you are better than everyone else. More intelligent, more moral, more compassionate. Otherwise, they would be like you.
It's your calling as a liberal to drag the unwashed Archie Bunker masses to the enlightened Utopia of the socialist dream. Whether it be accomplished by brainwashing, bribery or at gunpoint is irrelevant. The key is to have control, and the power to force people to be more like you.
My question is to that 35%: What the h*** are you thinking man???
They're thinking about how their wife is going to take away their keys to the Volvo if they argue the point.
reminds of that old adage we are all so sick of (LOL), that being:
'Oh what a wicked web we weave, when first we practice to deceive.'
The dems have woven a wicked web, culminating in their own mired attachment to a very pathetic ex-rapist and his blindly ambitious wife.
The truth is outing, but like Sapper mentions, many don't care about the truth. That is where prayers come in...because we love our nation and want all eyes opened, including our own.
The klintons seem like a curse upon our nation to me, and I dunno about you two, but like Sapper mentioned, paraphrased, the klintons energize their enemies as much, if not more, than they energize their base. Which stirs in me the absolute dedication to fight hillary klinton with everything I have should she decide to EVER inhabit our White House once again.
It will not happen. We have enough power right here on FR to be a formidable force, like perhaps we have never been before, should she even attempt this coop.
Sean Hannity mentioned yesterday that she may have back doored an application to run for our presidency in 2004. I hope this is explored and explained.
This woman does not know that unlike New Yorkers, our nation WILL NOT allow this woman to run without direct and brutal questioning-everywhere she goes. Everywhere.
And we will hold the press accountable this time. Oh yeah.
I have no doubt.
Not that you'd notice (being a 3rd Party partisan and all), but since Bush won we've cut federal income taxes twice (down to $45 per year for a family of 4 earning $40k), killed the estate tax, killed the double-tax on dividends (as of 1/1/04), repealed the federal restrictions on arming pilots with handguns, and we're putting in our first federal pilot program for private school vouchers in Washington, D.C.
But there is always 2008 to think about. I can think of worse things for Dean to be known for than being the man who saved the Democrat party from the Clintons.
Eventually the 'Rats are going to wake up and see what a disaster the Clintons have been. The one who is out in front of that movement stands to gain tremendous power when the vacuum that was once occupied by Bubba and Hillary! opens up.
A significant number of media members reached their current employment level during X-42(i)'s term of office. That is, he was there when they got to Washington. In addition to their group being almost exclusively Dems to begin with, they also loved all the goodies and perks and the honor of being in the DC Cocktail Party A-List - and now that things are different, they miss the days that used to be. So the MEDIA is a big part of why X-42(i) is still hanging around. If the media didn't cover him, he'd pretty much go away (and probably self-destruct in a few years). But the media is as responsible as anyone for the X-42's continued presence. They are truly lapdogs.
Everyone for whom X-42(i) has campaigned since his leaving office has LOST - but no one in the media has noticed, at least on air or in print. They're either oblivious or in De Nile.

Would make a great slogan on a tee-shirt to wear at rallies.
