His math is a little bit off...Gray Davis has been in office 4 1/2 years or so, not 5 1/2, since his re-election was less than a year ago. That $11 million spent on defeating Riordan in the Republican primary was well spent--it gained him another 11 months in office.

A caller named Steve made a point on this recall business that brought up George Washington. We owe everything to Washington. His morality is the sole reason we exist as we do today. His farewell and inaugural speeches are profound, and they are the very antithesis of people putting a party ahead of their nation.

If you've seen "School of Rock" it's like when Dewey (Jack Black) makes the kids pledge allegance to the band with him as the leader and final authority. The Democratic party pledges allegance to the party and the UN not to America. They want the people to pledge allegiance to them. This is no different then what Hitler did by making people pledge allegiance to him and not the country.

Now that the Republicans have the Cal goverorship, I am at liberty to disclose a closely-held secret:

Bill Clinton is actually a fine Republican operative who has spent the last 10 years or so carrying out an ultra-secret project -- the ruin of the Democrat Party.

His selfless dedication and successful culmination of this task should fill us all with gratitude and admiration, especially since he had major obstacles (Hillary) to circumvent.

If you have ever taken a look at the various Third World kleptocracies (defined as states that exist for the purpose of stealing), the one consistent feature is that there is no obvious successor to the Big Cheese for Life. Part of the security for the Big Cheese is that he brutally represses all up-and-comers who might possibly organize a resistance and take over the country. As soon as any other figure of prominence emerges, the Big Cheese's life is in danger.

In kleptocracies, the business of the Government, as embodied by the Big Cheese for Life, is to steal all the money, keep the bulk for himself, and distribute the remainder as necessary to various underlings to keep the peace. This is the model of the modern Democratic Party.

The one exception to supressing all possible successors for the modern far-sighted Big Cheese for Life is to groom one or more of his sons to take over when he dies. Think Uday and Qusay. In our country, that position is filled by the wife, Hillary!. The Big Cheese cannot afford for any other contender to emerge who might challenge her ascendancy.

The way the Clinton Curse ends is for some nationally known Democrat, Howard Dean comes to mind, to realize that there is more support to be won by opposing the Clintons than by supporting them. There has to be a kernel of people in the Democrat party, maybe 20%, who realize the Clintons are poison. By coming out strong against Bill and Hillary!, someone like Dean can appeal to these voters. Add these to his existing base, and he can easily trounce the rest of the field of ten.

When the knife comes for the Clintons, it will be in the back, not the front. They will be taken down by one opportunistic Democrat, and the rest of the party will have an "Emperor's New Clothes" moment.

And Howard Dean looks like just the guy to wield the dagger...

Wait, wait, wait . . . the Clintons are the best thing that ever happened to the Republican Party. Everytime the Clintons campaign for a Dem candidate, they succeed in snatching defeat from the political race.

Let's keep'em . . . and ensure the continued success and victories of the Republican Party.

Not to nit-pick, but didn't Washington become president essentially by acclamation? It wasn't until after Washington retired that Adams, Jefferson, and Hamilton (and their cohorts) started the party process.

"Bring on the Beast..."

YES, BRING HER ON!!!!!

I for one, will make it my personal mission to sign up men to vote against her. My plan is to go, personally, to every tavern, every saloon, every Pizza Parlor, every barbershop, in Hudson County, NJ and register men voters (you know the men don't vote, you just know they don't) to vote against the Harridan. On Election Day, I will lead parades of men, all men, any men, including my hubby and the kid's boyfriend (one of whom hasn't vote since Nixon, the other of whom I think has never voted, both of whom have given me a solemn handshake promise to vote against the Beast, dare she run) to vote her down & out!

And if I should fail, in this solemn quest, I will decamp with hubby to New Zealand. I know they're lefty, but they are not ruled by the Hildebeast, and he's really fascinated by the terrain. If it doesn't work out there, there's Australia nearby. John Howard, here we come.

One ring to rule them all must have prizes. THESE PEOPLE MUST BE STOPPED. Arnie did good yesterday, we won a battle, remember, the Democrats are on the same side as Osama. Do I question their patriotism? That would assume they have any.

[rant off]

Gray Davis has a crush on Bill Clinton.

The pic on the link above may prove otherwise...

The Republicans are NOT the majority party. They hold the Governorship - that's it. However .. the statehouse needs a housecleaning and if they give Arnold too much of a hassle, the dems could find themselves out of power in the statehouse too, as well as Lt. Gov., Atty. Genl., etc.
