They did it while they were on foot patrol - wearing their uniforms and bulletproof vests and carrying M-16 rifles.

Their brides and a few relatives, led by an intermediary, met them along their patrol route, and then the wedding party ducked into a courtyard for a quick exchange of rings and vows before an Iraqi judge.

A half-hour later, the GIs resumed their patrol. They haven't seen their wives since.

While in a combat zone, against the expressed orders of their commander, these guys left their duly prescribed post. Can you say "dereliction of duty?" I knew you could.

We do not know if the girls in question were members of the ruling party and therefore sworn enemies of the United States, but we do know that ordinary Iraqs, especially women, did not have the opportunity to become high level professionals. So, how did these girls get to be doctors? To whom are they or were they connected? I'm sure someone is looking into that, as we speak.

To those of you who maintain that GI's have always brought home war brides, let me ask did they bring home German Nazi war brides? Did they bring home North Korean war brides? Did they bring home members of any group that has sworn to be in favor of the distruction of the United States?

These two GI's were willing to disobey their officer, put their buddies in danger, and deny their God for these Iraqi women. What else are they willing to do? How many of our KIA were only stopping by to meet some Iraqi woman?

This is not about love or two GI's marrying some local girls, this is about the security of our nation against Islam, Islam is our enemy and now we have two more GI's who are muslim. Muslims in our armed forces haven't been having a good year and neither will these two new converts. Hang 'em high!

Hang 'em high!

Before or after their court martial?

BINGO!

That is precisely the issue...whatever their intent may be. They could very easily have been used...and now they have shown to their comrades and their commanding officers that they very easily could be used.

I am sure Clinton having the Chinese Colonel at the White House, who happened to be a pretty Chinese girl and was also posing as an executive for the Chinese commerical aviation industry, was all about love too. [/sarcasm]

Some of your ideas are completely wrong, like:
"....but we do know that ordinary Iraqs, especially women, did not have the opportunity to become high level professionals."

How do you know this? Did you know that Iraq is one of the Islamic nations that women can show their hair and body in public ? This is the first question.

Second is this : "........To those of you who maintain that GI's have always brought home war brides, let me ask did they bring home German Nazi war brides?"

I know some Veteran Air Force pilots who brought war brides from Vietnam, and also Germany.
Nazis were ruling from 1933 to 1945, and our forces got into there in 1945-6, so they took brides home from there.

The fact of posting such a story was about love and the lonliness of the servicemen. That is all!

Further: Did any of our trops who married German Nazi girls in 1945 secrety swear the Hitler Oath before the marriage, as a necessary precondition?

That's what taking the "There is no God but Allah, and Mohammed is his prophet" OATH is the equal of.

Long time since I was in the military, but at one time we had what was known as General Orders and leaving your post before being properly relieved was a big one. I don't understand their CO's actions. If they broke their General Orders they should be courts martialed. PERIOD. It has nothing to do with why they left their posts and whom they married.
