If it is overturned, our military will be a place where homosexuals flock to. It will be sickening.

Why would that be? I can't see any basis for that conjecture.

Britain has allowed openly gay servicemen for years and has had few problems because of it.

And child molesters don't flock to the Boy Scouts and to the teaching profession?

I have to assume that you have never served in the military; otherwise you would realize that the living conditions provide absolutely no privacy.

I don't know how the British do it, but I can tell you from my service in the U.S. military that allowing open homosexuality would completely destroy the esprit d'corp, which is what makes it function.

I couldn't care less what the Brits do or don't do. I served in the Navy aboard several ships, now there's close quarters and perversion is not welcome. When homosexuals were outed, they were immediately given Section 8 discharges, and rightfully so, made the rest of us feel more secure as well.

Britain has allowed openly gay servicemen

The poster was referring to homosexuals not happy, merry, exuberant servicemen in Britain.
Can we assume British servicewomen are allowed to express happiness too?
