Maybe we will see it in many forms, but frankly, I don't think it will go anywere. No legs. People are sick of it.
Just my opinion.

Excellent. I was wondering 'what if Davis had won?' myself -- I didn't know Hannity had actually asked JJ that.

"disenfranchise"
I was curious and looked up the word in the dictionary. The word is listed without a definition. I guess it could mean anything!

I saw Je$$e Jacka$$ on the "Hardball" show as well. Chris Matthews ask Jesse why would he blame the Republicans, when the democrats have had mayoral control of LA and SF for years. Jesse didn't say a word about Chris' comment, he just kept rambling on....

I call upon the producers of the Hannity and Colmes Show to turn over the Jackson interview to the Department of Justice and that there be a full investigation to see if there was a coordinated effort by Jesse Jackson and Gray Davis to intimidate the legal voters of California during a statewide election with the threat of a lawsuit to follow any results that were not favorable for Mr. Davis.Excellent suggestion, my FRiend! I think we should all follow this suggestion and send out some polite emails to the producers requesting that they do this...

I found it exceedingly difficult to both register to vote, and to vote, in California.

Liberal Activists did not even wait for the polls to close in Californias historical recall election of Governor Gray Davis before they were screaming about their voters being disenfranchised. Not to split hairs, but this author has it wrong. Liberal activists screamed about being disenfranchised well before the polls even opened.

I'm reminded of the Georgt Brett Pine Tar Bat incident. the bat was just fine until he hit a home run - THEN it was called into question.

I saw Sean/JJ on that night, lol. I saw a few shows where this was asked of different dems, same answer. FOXNews appears the only ones who dare to ask the tough questions, especially Britt Hume.

when I signed up under Motor Voter... I'm old enough to remember poll taxes, literacy requirements, etc. that were sometimes used to disenfranchise black voters. Now with "motor voter" and instant registration in certain states, perhaps with no more proof of residency than an envelope with an address on it, we have gone to the opposite extreme of enfranchising those who are not citizens or are not qualified to vote.
Ironically, charges of bigotry can and are leveled at both ends of this pendulum swing in American civics and the "law" has backed up both of these injustices.

I wish you would come and plant your roots in Daytona Beach right now. We are about to go thru this for the mayoral runoff. One of the front runners was a one-time head of the NAACP in the S.F. Bay Area. She raised over $100,000 for her campaign this election here, compared to the average $20,000 for other candidates (*sniff*sniff...I smell a RAT). She was one of the loud mouths about "voter disenfranchisement" during the 2000 Prez elections in Florida, specifically Volusia County. Volusia went 66% to Gore and they had voter fraud, and the local Dems attempted to sue to stop the recount here.
Listen, I'll help you pack and move, and you can even bunk here for the time being!

Voter fraud, which is more widespread, is as much disenfranchisement as inhiting voting. If my vote is nullified by a fraudulent voter, I have effectively been disenfranchised.

You really hit the nail on the head. Jesse Jackson is an opportunist and shakedown artist. He actually claimed that voters in Los Angeles County were disenfranchised. How can there be a Republican conspiracy to disenfranchise the voters? The California Secretary of State (Kevin Shelly) and the Los Angeles municipal government (Mayor and City Council) are all Davis-supporting Democrats.
To: Trueblackman
claimed that mostly Democrat and minority voters were disfranchised because of punch card ballots. Why? Are punch card ballots only used in minority communities? If not, and everybody in the state uses them, do these minorities not understand that Jesse Jackson is basically telling them that they're too stupid to use these ballots, but that everyone else isn't?

Bravo Kevin !!
Your political commentary deserves to be read by a much wider audience. It is refreshing to hear the truth. I applaud your efforts to 'tell it like it is' regarding Jesse Jackson's Rainbow Coalition. Keep up your great work.
