I'm guessing no one plays Smear the Queer with the Football anymore. Glad I grew up in the 60s-70s too!

Oh man, I remember that too. Loads of fun. Bruises, cuts, and scrapes. But fun. I worry we're raising a generation of wimps and whiners.

Smear the Queer and Dodgeball. Without them a generation is lost.

Smear the Queer? Kill the Carrier?
LOL! In NJ, we called it Kill the Guy With The Ball.
And our playground wasnt paved, it was gravel. If you had the ball, you ran like you meant it.

You would probably be suspended and sent to sensitivity training if you suggested playing Smeer the Queer today.

Smear the queer (no related meaning to the queers of today), dodge ball, king of the hill/mountain, red rover, tag, run-n-gun (a modified version of football - 4 downs to get a touchdown, if your flag was pulled or you dropped the ball, you stopped and that was a down. Kinda like keep away with teams),monkey bars - metal, slides - metal, concrete pipes partially buried to crawl on and through. Gads, I need a real recess.
