Just a point. The smoke free rooms at the Mohegan Sun casino here in Connecticut are filled.

Thats just fine, it proves that you have room for all, you will do well.

Any decent casino has such good ventilation that you can't smell the smoke, unless the guy next to you blows it in your face.

The one in Vegas referred to is probably the Silver City Casino on the Strip. It's been closed and boarded up for years. Yep, it worked real well.

My chimney sweep and I were talking about the Silver City Casino just last week. He goes out to Las Vegas every year. He told me the same thing: Silver City went smoke free. Silver City closed it's doors and shut down.

If one Casino doesn't want people who smoke, the smokers will take their money AND their tips somewhere else. Period.

Elections come up.

Oh yes, Flurry! Been there done that! They lie through their teeth to get your vote. Once in office, they are turncoats and stick it to us.

I'm sick of it. Once in office, they get power hungry and turn into people who are worse then LAWYERS! I don't trust ANY of them during elections.

But of course, I vote Republican, because I don't want more DemocRATS in a seat. Maine has it bad enough with a DemocRAT GOVERNOR, who is responsible for bringing in all those Samoli's in Lewiston, as well.

Delaware officials lie. There was only one week of really bad weather last winter. As to bad summer weather, people seek indoor activities when the weather is bad. And they did - just not in Delaware, except in exempt locales. Bar and restaurant revenue increased this summer for the beach areas in Maryland, and skyrocketed at the Elks and Moose Lodges, VFW posts and American Legion halls throughout Delaware (they are exempt from the ban)

Tell me: WHAT OFFICIAL TELLS THE TRUTH ANYMORE?!

They learn the art of SPIN!

As a resident of Las Vegas, I would say 'no.'

That's GREAT! I'm ALL for smoking and non smoking sections. Accomodate ALL the people. Let the money FLOW.

But I have heard many accounts of where Casinos do provide non smoking tables and slots........not much money going there. But if your non smoking room at your Casino is filled, that's great. But it should be up to the OWNER to provide for everyone. Not The Government!

Unless they allow for a smoke free and a smoking casino, they will hurt financially, for them to claim it wouldn't it's a lie.

Great Dane, you can't cut out 25-30% of the customers and NOT feel the drop in revenue. It's just not going to happen. If these idiots think that the non smokers will now come in, they are dead wrong. Especially with the huge ventalion systems everyone is using now, and what with the non-smoking sections. They will lose 25-30% of their revenue. I've seen it happen before.......

Any decent casino has such good ventilation that you can't smell the smoke, unless the guy next to you blows it in your face.

Exactly! Case in point: the air in the Vegas Casino's are as clear as glass. They installed big ventilation systems. You can't see smoke and you can't smell smoke.

Once again I say: this is a power play by the lawmakers and the boards of health who are making pigs of themselves from the taxes the smokers pay on cigarettes. They really think they have us. heh!

A smoke-free casino here in Florida wouldn't even get off the ground. The little old retired ladies here would throw conniption fits. They puff madly away as they pull the handles on their rabbit-foot, holy medal-bedecked slots.Woe betide any fagfascist employee who would tell them to douse their gaspers.

All last year, Florida worked on going smoke free. Are there casino's in Florida? I lived in the panhandle for three years back in the 80's, but I can't remember if Florida has casino's.

Miami Beach?

What casino in LV had air as clear as glass? I was there for a week in August and didn't find air as clear as glass but did find smoke filled air.

You have to go to the Casinos on the strip. Not the ones on the back streets.

No, there's no casinos yet in Florida. A referendum to legalize big-time gambling a couple a years ago failed to pass.

The retirees crowd their locally-based casino boats that go three miles out to sea. Florida's smoking ban can't touch them out on the bounding main, hah!

I think the Silver City Casino was pretty well scheduled for elimination anyway, it was quite small and not exactly in a prime location on The Strip. It probably was a good opportunity to check out if a "no-smoking" policy could revive a casino already in the dumps but it didn't work. It really wasn't a bad place, I have been in there many times. It was owned by Mandalay Bay/Circus-Circus.

MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, Luxor, New York, New York, Paris, Mirage.... Yes, I like these casinos on the back streets!

When was the last time you were in Las Vegas?
