I sure would. I've seen his EWTN show during the wee hours of the night and he strikes me as a man who is sure of himself and the Church. Any priest who has the success he has had with converts (Bernard Nathanson & Sen. Brownback come to mind) has my respect and thanks. If he were in a parish accessible to me and my family, I'd be there. All I can think of here (in relation to the Deal Hudson comments) is that he is a man of strong convictions and opinions and so is Deal Hudson. They are both in the same area of Washington and deal with the same people. Maybe it is over the way both of them looked at the war in Iraq?
I like Deal Hudson for personal reasons. He came up to Boston about a year and a half ago and met with a group of people who were trying to figure out how to keep VOTF out of their parishes, he met with the protesters outside of the Cathedral and talked to them, attended Mass and spent a couple of hours listening to the parishioners (and others) and he put things in perspective. I respect him because he came to see things firsthand instead of relying on second-hand information before he opined on the Boston situation.
Absolutely!!
