It could also mean that the Eucharist ``becomes'' the Body and Blood of Christ from something else- namely bread and wine.

The Eucharist is already the Body and Blood of Christ.

How can it become something it already is?

I'm done arguing about it.

Check a dictionary. It's a matter of usage. The Eucharist is the Body and Blood of Christ. It becomes the Body and Blood of Christ from bread.
