Thanks RnMomof7!

It is this doctrine alone that truly separates the Reformed from all others. Most people think it's Predestination, the Imputation of Righteousness, or some other Calvinist doctrine, but those are merely the consequences of what truly lies at the foundation of all Reformation theology: Soli Deo Gloria.

“Not to us, O LORD, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.” - Psalm 115: 1

"I am the LORD; that is my name! I will not give my glory to another or my praise to idols.” - Isaiah 42:8

“For my own sake, for my own sake, I do this. How can I let myself be defamed? I will not yield my glory to another.” - Isaiah 48:11

I think sometimes we fail to to make that clear .
All of reform doctrine is dependent on a sovereign God that is worthy of all praise..for every breath He gives us, to every dollar we earn , to every child we birth ..for our very salvation .

Isa 42:8 I [am] the LORD: that [is] my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
