fighting cock...
Never heard of it, but how appropriate! I've never drown my whiskey in beer before but I couldn't let a Baptist out drink this Episcopalian boy. Some things are just not to be done.

You've never had a boiler maker before?
If this must be done I say we use the one of best!

I've never wasted Crown by diluting it. But, like I said, I'm game. Who would have figured that we could thank the new wind on the Religion forum for making us drinking buddies.
Woody.
P.S. Just so I know, we still pretend to NOT know each other in the beer store. Right?

KumBaYah seems like the only appropriate thing I can say anymore. So sad.

Certainly! Feel free to add to or alter it in any way.
It is amazing how this list demonstrates how God honors the free-will choices of these individuals, but is still able to accomplish His Will. Jonah's will got him into all kinds of trouble, however God was able to bring about circumstances to accomplish what He wanted anyway.
If Jonah, and some of the others, had just taken the time to lay down their will for God's Will it would have been so much smoother for them. Jonah's saving grace was that he knew and acknowledged the God who created him. Jonah could have possibly been used in a much mightier way, as with Joseph, Daniel or Elisha, if he had chosen obedience over obstinance. We will still see Jonah in heaven, he'll be just ruling over less than he could have. God forbid that we don't learn this lesson today.
GOD'S WILL IS MEGAFOLD BETTER THAN OUR WILL!
God wants to show His rich love to all of us in a much deeper way, if only we could chose to deny our will as Christ Jesus did in Gethsemane. God can make the future turn out exactly as He plans no matter what our choices are, He is that powerful. But the more we seek Him first in our life the more spiritual blessings we will have here and real treasure in heaven to come.

Those are some great ones too.
The Bible is chalk full of failures. Hemingway marveled at this and believed the scriptures could be nothing but Divine for this reason.

I saw that and thought it was because you people just aren't getting suspended fast enough... LOL! I turn my back to have a real life for just a few hours and return to find the party's picking up steam.
When's the limbo contest?

It lets you block all posts by specified poster(s), so you don't see them. I would bet it cuts flamewars by 50%.

LOL!
I watched "Airplane" today for about the 10th time; I'd forgotten how hilarious that movie was.
The original "Don't call me Shirley." I'd bet there are more jokes in "Airplane" than in any other 90 minutes on film.
