Your #7 is largely a repeat of Roman Catholic thological boilerplate.

Your choice; either way, no skin off my teeth.

Obviously you willfully reject the biblical evidence. I'll bet you if we took this issue to an atheist, who has no particular leaning either way, and give him the history of the two belives, he would not agree with justification by faith alone.

>>If you'd like to learn what Protestants actually believe rather than what you have been told (take the quoted James passage, for instance), we'd be happy to explain it to you.

I was a protestant, who came across many a brainwashed "five point" Calvinsists. Most were staunch, rather rude, agressive, and stuck back in the middle ages.

One incident I particularly remember is a Calvinist friend who claimed "if my God isn't a Soveriegn God, then I don't want him." The pride of some Calvinists is so high as to define God in their own images. It reminds me of one of the Conan movies where Conan is praying to his God for help and he says "if you don't help me, then to hell with you"

I have been through EV fundamentalism, Lutheranism, and finally back in the Catholic Church. I didn't get here out of ignorance my friend. I got here out of seeking the truth WITHOUT filters.

Now, during my journey I was surrounded by 5 point Calvinists. I was working as a missionary at Operation Rescue, and when I told my boss I was going to rejoin the Catholic Church, he convieniently had a STAUNCH 5 pointer come over to the house (where I was babysitting my bosses children) and grill me for 2 hours.

So yea, I do know much about what protestants believe -- more than you think I know.

>>posting arguments that not only do not apply, but not even understanding why your arguments don't apply?

Actually, the statement of justification by faith alone applies to the posted article. While Calvin based his works on others, Luther's doctrines did play a role (even if minor) in his work.
