heis) does not mean "one and only" (Gk
monos).
By the way, the whole chapter of 1 Tm 2 is promoting intercessory prayer, which is nothing more than a form of mediation. The point is that Christian prayer participates in the mediation of Jesus before the Father.
By the way, did you also stop to chew out the author of Revelation, which depicts the allegedly "dead" St. Michael doing battle with Satan in heaven.

Except in the context of that verse, "one" means one and only...which is to say"ONE Mediator between God and Man, That being Christ Jesus.
You have to look at context, not just pick out one phrase to support a whole doctrine. Christ IS OUR CHIEF Mediator. Granted any Christian can pray and intercede for one another, but that is not what Timothy was saying!
As for St. Michael, I never bought the notion that an arch angel could be a saint!
