Uhm, he's from France.
More drama from the SSPX.
Totally unrelated to the SSPX. As you would have known if you had read the article before posting.
Georges de Nantes and Archbishop Lefebvre shared many beliefs on the state of the Vatican, but didn't see eye to eye as far as tactics go. Lefebvre considered the Abbe to be too harsh and direct, trying to portray himself as a more reasonable alternative. The Abbe considered Lefebvre too soft in the compromises and concessions he was willing to make (at times during the 70's) with Vatican functuaries. He also considered the SSPX schismatic by their actions.
Although I think he's a bit eccentric (like all traditionalists), I have a certain degree of admiration for the Abbe de Nantes in that he's stuck to his guns, and has performed no action that could be construed as disobedient or schismatic, opting to suffer the disciplinary consequences of the apostasy he details so thoroughly and work within the system, so to speak, in presenting his case against the Pope to the Pope himself.
Exactly. Most everything from France is affected, as are many French people.
If he had a parish, we could call him "Cure."
