So, that is why I am a former democrat. I grew up hearing that the Republicans are for the rich and the democrats are for the poor. I vote for republicans now because I consider them the lesser of two evils.

I heard that too as a kid. Now, of all my relatives, the ones who go to church, for the most part vote republican. The democrats, with a few exceptions, have all fallen away.
