Christian persecution of the Jews throughout history included forced "debates" between Rabbis and various Christian leaders. Isn't it slightly possible that instead of the writers conclusion, the passage might not be included so as not to give certain Christians (who attended Synagogue services and reported on the goings on to their leaders) any additional ammunition? Isn't there the slightest possibility that the writer is wrong?
You are beating an old worn out dog! I'm a victim is nonsense in this question.
Most family traditions like most modern Jewish worship are spiritually bankrupt today. They died with the last temple. Without the temple Jews are lost and unforgiven. Where is your chief rabbi? He can't wipe away your collective sin without the yearly sacrifice.
Of the many followers of Jesus among the Jews will no doubt tell you, Isa. 53 was the scripture which moved them from death into life.
Don't you think that those several million souls considered your 'whiner' You bet! It's just more blashemy from God's chosen stiff necked, arrogant, proud and beautiful people.
