Right On Target Black Elk!!

It seems that the overiding concern of these people is the importance (cleverness/intellect) of their own opinions.

When Peter was confronted with a very obvious situation where Jesus was being arrested, he responded with his own opinion which was "let's fight and defend The Lord". When told "put down your sword" he obeyed regardless of his own opinion. When the vicar of Christ tells us something is right (or wrong), I obey regardless of my own opinion. Time for all sedevacantists, SSPX's, etc to put their own puny opinions aside and listen to the Church!

Acts V, 29:

But Peter and the apostles answering, said: We ought to obey God rather than men.

You have some very good points and thank you for them. Please expect the schizzies to question your sanity.

Imagine obeying Christ's representative on earth. What can we be thinking? </sarcasm

Yes, by all means obey the Pope, like when they had several Popes at one time - you had to obey them all -right? Or not - did you have to discern which was the true Pope and follow the one that taught the truth? Hmmmm - seems a bit more complicated then just blind obedience. Since there was a real time and place that the simple postulation did not work - it would suggest that a time could occur when a claimant was not valid - life is so complicated. So much easier to blindly follow your local bishop (even if he is a homo) - or worse a pedophile - all those who seek to unseat such bishops are just so disobedient - aren't they? But what do such wolves in sheep's clothing deserve? What did the merchants despoiling the temple deserve - and get rewarded with from Christ's hand? But don't pick up the sword - WHEN GOD's ONLY SON TELLS YOU NOT TO - otherwise it is DEPOSIT of FAITH that sustains us - and we must oppose those who would despoil it.
