I guess he thinks its up to a "consecrate" minister to decide...
PS: I'm not a "consecrated" minister (or a minister of any sort), but I have enough reverence for The Body to say "BACK OFF".

YOU WILL STILL NEVER CONSECRATE THE HOST, OR FORGIVE MEN'S SINS. I have no desire to. In addition, as a deacon I am not subject to being moved around, as priests are. I get to stay in my house, thus relieving the diocese of a financial burden.
And, I take no salary of any kind from the parish.
I enjoy being a deacon, as I get to preach.
I don't get your hostility. I've never done anything to you, or even addressed you, and you've been on the attack against me since you got here, questioning my Faith.
What's up?

I can't stand by while people observe your liberal opininionated posts with the understanding that you're Catholic (and a full-blooded minster, by your own reckoning...)Stop attacking my Faith. That is frowned upon here, bub. Fair warning.

"Stop attacking my Faith."
You've yet to acknowledge or apologize for attacking mine. Glass houses Deacon, glass houses.

I am unaware of having done that, narses.
Refresh my memory (I will be out for a few hours, so don't think I'm ignoring you if I don't reply immediately).

Reread this thread. You'll find your posts attacking me and Tuco and specifically trying to question my Catholicism. If you can't find that on this thread, if you can't see your need to apologize, then you are beyond help.

Sorry, I'm not going to reread the thread.
If you can't point it out, it must not be noteworthy.

I already pointed it out to you once Deacon. It was noteworthy enough others commented on it as well. Just don't play the victim on this thread, your seminal attacks are here for all to see.

Well, then, point it out again.
Better yet, narses, I'm sorry if I offended you in whatever I said, any time, any place, in this universe or any other.

Ratzinger explained the church does not condemn war and the death penalty, but does condemn abortion and euthanasia. Worth repeating.

aren't we all sinners? when certain clergy in the US claimed that kerry didn't have the right to receive communion (based on POLITICAL stances, not personal beliefs), but didn't mention any pro-choice republicans, it smacked of political opportunism.

when certain clergy in the US claimed that kerry didn't have the right to receive communion (based on POLITICAL stances, not personal beliefs), but didn't mention any pro-choice republicans, it smacked of political opportunism. There weren't any Republican, pro-choice, self proclaimed Catholics running for president when Kerry was made aware he was persona non grata at the altar. Also, I'm really not sure these bishops called Kerry out by name, (maybe they did, I really can't remember). I thought they pretty much made generic "pro-choice Catholics politicians should not present themselves for Communion, as they are not properly disposed to receive the Lord" type statements.
