I'll jump in whenever, and wherever, you attack a fellow traditional Catholic. It's one of my primary duties since my Confirmation. It's my perogative, not yours.

You still bore me, however.

You are welcome to jump in, however I've noted that you can't prove your argument, as you failed to even attempt a responce to my request.

I've been patienly waiting for your lame challenge.

Main Entry: her·e·tic

Pronunciation: 'her-&-"tik

Function: noun

1 : a dissenter from established church dogma; especially : a baptized member of the Roman Catholic Church who disavows a revealed truth (e.g. life begins at conception; Canon 915 of the Code of Canon Law which reads: “. . .those who (like Senator Kerry and many others in Congress) obstinately persist in manifest grave sin are not to be admitted to Holy Communion.)

2 : one who dissents from an accepted belief or doctrine

If the challenge is so lame, then you need to specify what the dogma is, prove it is in fact a dogma, and exactly where it has been disavowed.

You seem to have claimed that canon law 915 is a revealed truth. Care to prove that?

Fact is, it isn't even possible to be a heretic here. You have no idea what you are talking about.

Nope, you are the one who has is head in the clouds/sand.

Canon law is doctrine. If you wish to argue otherwise, do so with a fellow Modernist.

I've had my fill of you today.

Along the same line, why is he not automatically excommunicated? He reportedly participated (partook) in a Protestant communion service (African Methodist Episcopal) on Palm Sunday this year (CNN took down the article at http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/04/16/kerry.catholics.ap/index.html, either because it's too old, or because it casts their boy in a bad light).

As an Orthodox Christian (as in "Eastern Orthodox"), I don't understand why is he granted communion at Roman Catholic churches at all. In our parishes, he would be turned away at the chalice by the priest or deacon serving, especially after being photographed at the communion rail of a protestant church, and the photo's subsequent widespread publication.

As to the question (see below) of who is responsible for turning him away, it is the person giving the gifts, and a priest or deacon serving him would be suspended by our bishop, until it was determined whether they should be deposed (and it would probably be an open-and-shut case). As part of the ordination of a deacon (which is required for elevation to the Priesthood), the charge to "protect the Holy Gifts" is laid upon the ordinand.

Finally, by our theology (which, I assumed the Romans still held to at least vaguely), Kerry excommunicated himself by communicating with Schizmatics, and this even seems to be what even those somewhat versed in Roman Catholic Canon Law have to say about it(e.g. http://www.catholicherald.com/saunders/04ws/ws040513.htm).

So, can anyone explain to me why this is even debated?

So, dissenting from any piece of canon law makes you a heretic? Is that your view?

Let me know, as I'd love to apply that to its logical end for you.

Don't forget to give a donation to support the canon lawyer doing this filing. Donate to De Fide

Marc Balestrieri has not had his services used by the diocese of LA (previously his main source of income) since he's filed this heresy suit.
