I am too young to remember when the prayer to St Michael the Archangel was part of the mass. In fact I had never heard of it until a year or so ago. Someone gave me a bookmark with the prayer in English and Latin. The prayer has become one of my favorites.
| St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil; may God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the divine power, thrust into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen. | Sancte Michael Archangele, defende nos in proelio, contra nequitiam et insidias diaboli esto praesidium.
