PM>But since WE can't tell the wheat from the tares, what difference does it make? We can't "discover" the elect by preaching the gospel, only God knows who they are, so what is the purpose of calling them out? They can't be "saved". They can't be "discovered." You don't even need to be "elect" to preach the gospel and call these people in (as witnessed by the fact that most Calvinists on this forum were called to the gospel by Arminian/Semi-Pelagian heretics).
So what really is the purpose in all this?

There only three commandment from Jesus the Christ:
The first two are the same as in the Torah
NAsbU Matthew 22:37 And He said to him, "'YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.' 38 "This is the great and foremost commandment. 39 "The second is like it, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.' 40 "On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets."
The Third is new to the New Covenant
NAsbU Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

This author does says that the great commission of Mt 28 applies to Christians. What do you think?
