Oh pleaseeeeeeeee, a real man goes after what he wants! You got that right. I asked out a lot of girls. I was turned down a lot. However, I got lucky enough that I never went without a date. I also had two cases of "crabs" before I was twenty-five. (I think it was only two, maybe three)
;^)

(I am married, so I can speak to your comment)....I know what you probably say is tongue-in-cheek so....I had noticed this "fear of rejection" thingee when I was single and went to Catholic Singles gatherings. There was a LOT of the "looking for signals" from BOTH the men and women at those functions -- actually, looking back on it all, it was rather humorous in nature, but at the time....well....it was a "dog-eat-dog" world if you were single and at those functions (or if you were seeing someone within the group at the time)....geezh! that was about the ONLY time women approached ME -- when I was talking to another women...go figure!
