It is just another step towards the actual Mark of the Beast. Conditioning.
Believe me, I'm just as cautious (and believing in) the "mark" as anyone, but all this is (as far as I understand) is just putting "national standards" if you will on drivers licences. I think it's a good thing actually, to have a national standard for a generally accepted ID, instead of having one state be really lax in how they hand out DL's, thus enabling terrorists to go there, get an ID then be able to go ANYWHERE and open up a bank account, rent cars, GET ON PLANES....
I don't like McCain, I think he's a RINO, but I like this idea.
If you really want to keep track of how the "mark" most likely will occur, keep track of the activities of a company called VeriChip. There was a thread here on FR a week ago I believe where this club in Barcelona "chipped" some of its customers so they could buy drinks more easily. They used the ID chip that VeriChip already makes for animal identification. That's a TRUE "mark ON the body".
Like another poster on this thread said, "Until they start emblazoning our ID cards on our foreheads or hands, then I'll start worrying about a National ID card".
