Thank you Coleus for the easy email set-up....I gladly sent an email.

This is such a mockery of our faith! How has the homosexual agenda been able to erode the moral base of the Catholic Church. My first thought is that if St. Joe's accepts any state or government funds, they may be beholden to these liberal immoral groups. This is sickening!!!

Several of my sons attended St. Joe's as commuters. We did not have the problems with them that we have had with our daughters who attended Georgetown and Boston College. Because my boys had scholarships and worked while attending, we did not actually give much in tuition to SJU. But this school never seemed as liberal as those other two Jesuit colleges. I think last year or the year before they had Rick Santorum speaking at their graduation. Also, in one of the alumni magazines they send to our home they highlighted the students trip to the March for LIfe.

Overall, we've been ok with SJU so far. I'm very sad to see this development. Perhaps Cardinal Rigali will speak to this scandal.

It cannot hurt to notify the Office of Public Affairs for the Archdiocese.

Would you please explain this to me without using bible references? How would someone that does not believe in the bible, understand that this offends God?

Why should he? St. Joe's is not a secular institution. It is a CATHOLIC university. As such, it is subject to Christian teaching and tradition. The God of St. Joseph's University is offended by sodomy.

1. Those who don't believe the bible don't believe our God.

2. That point aside, there is a natural order of things that lends itself to logic. Tab A logically goes into Slot A, etc.

3. Naturally, Procreation occurs when male and female unite. It does not occur when male and male or female/female unite.

4. Penis and vagina are complementarily engineered body parts....obviously. Clearly obvious, as well, from developmental studies....they are analagous organs.

5. Many other complementary aspects in psysiology, psychology, sociology.....

Don't submit to his sophistry. If stuartcr doesn't believe in the Christian God, he's got no dog in this fight and should stay out of it.

Scientifically-speaking, homosexual acts are contrary to what nature intended. Sexual organs are meant for one purpose: the propagation of the species. The fact that they also cause pleasure is secondary. Any use of these organs outside of their purpose is disordered, whether the people doing it are heterosexual or homosexual.

So true. If only we had such a book......and some way of proving it, so that no one would doubt it.

I believe there is only one God...not yours, or ours, or anyone in particular. I just don't see how this shows that God is offended...He did create all of us.

You don't want to use the bible.

However, IF (don't miss the if) you believed that the Romans scripture I pasted above were the word of God, would you have to admit on reading it that God is offended by homosexuality?

Quite possibly so. Why then, don't people qualify their statements by saying "this is what I believe...", instead of presenting these things as fact?

Would that be the Bible?

Because we think they are truth.

Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through me."

Since we accept that, it affects our worldview, and we are very uncompromising regarding our basic worldview.

It doesn't bother you, not being able to prove your beliefs, and being so uncompromising about it?

SJU is a Jesuit university, not Catholic.
