Scandal at St. Joseph's University

When you think the Holy Catholic Church cannot possibly endure further attacks or dissent from within, something painfully happens to prove the contrary.

The official web site of St. Joseph's University - a Jesuit institution established in 1851 in Philadelphia - openly announces a pro-homosexual event called "Rainbow Week." According to information posted on this website, a "Mass for Rainbow Week" on October 10 was celebrated in the campus chapel to mark the beginning of the weeklong program.

Among other pro-homosexual activities, a morally offensive exhibit titled "Love Makes a Family" will display photos of "Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender People and Their Families" in Campion Lounge.

"This event gravely offends God. It mocks morality and disastrously departs from 2,000 years of Church teaching and natural law. Catholics must protest this scandal. St. Ignatius must be turning in his grave," said TFP Student Action director John Ritchie.

Let us send a peaceful, legal and forceful message to the administrators of St. Joseph's University. Let us remind them of their responsibility before God. It is the least we can do for the good of an entire generation of college students whose souls are in serious jeopardy.

This is very sad. While looking up information about the Program at the St. Josephs University web site, I learned that the "discussion will be moderated by Shoshanna Edwards-Alexander, director of multicultural life." Googling Ms. Edwards-Alexander lead me to the university's 2000 Student Handbook which confirmed that she is indeed the university's director of multicultural life.

But I found an interesting name adjacent to hers in the student handbook. Laura Fuchs-Moore is the Director of Student Health Center.

Now how would you like to go through life with the name Fuchs-Moore? Was her mom insane to hyphenate her name? Or is Laura herself nuts? If her mom hyphenated the family name, how popular was Laura in school? Inquiring minds want to know.

St. Ignatius must be turning in his grave," said TFP Student Action director John Ritchie.

With everything the Jebbies have been doing over the last 40 years, I think St. Ignatius must have gotten dizzy long ago from the spinning. Stupidity like this is one reason I'd NEVER send my kids to a Jesuit college!

Maybe you can ask them to thoroughly check this out. Or Give you details about how to combat this.

Since God created everyone, including homosexuals, and knows all their is to know about everyone...why would this offend Him?

No...it is in response to what Mr. Ritchie said. How does he know what offends God, or even if God gets offended?

Why would this offend him?

See Romans 1. It offends God because it opposes His natural intent.

God's Wrath Against Mankind 18The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. 21For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles. 24Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator--who is forever praised. Amen. 26Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. 28Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. 29They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

"How does he know what offends God, or even if God gets offended?"

You're absolutely right. We have no way of knowing God's will. We're just guessing. Now, if only He wrote (or inspired men to write) a book (or compilation of books) that clearly showed His will for man, wow, would that be great! Better yet, He could provide internal authentication for the divine source of these books by including prophecy which would subsequently be fulfilled!

If only.....
