Vanity, but was very good for me

This came to me in prayer at a worship service tonight For those of you who believe God still speaks today, here's what I believe he said to me.

I've been praying the last several days about the upcoming election. As I prayed, the one question I was concerned about was did the US and President Bush do the right thing in the War on Iraq. I understand that good things can come out of it, like a democracy, but the stated reason was the weapons of mass destruction issue.

My concern was did we miss God and are we trying to justify the war on other reasons now.

I went to ANHOP in Grand Prairie tonight, (All Nations House of Prayer) -its a Ministry of Shady Grove church in Grand Prairie that has times of worship about twice a day currently. Eventually they want to get to round the clock worship.

While I was praying I saw President Bush. He was standing quietly. Suddenly someone I could not see handed him a sword. It was made of precious metals, Gold, silver and others. There were gems in the handle. President Bush felt the sword, swung it. It appeared he had been born to wield the sword. It actually was kind of amusing. Here's the President wearing his suit swinging a large broadsword. But he wasn't clumsy. He looked like an expert.

I heard a voice, the Lord I believe, say. "I have given my servant the sword to execute judgement in the Earth."

Scriptures came to mind - I had to look up the specific references later Daniel 2:21 (NIV)

He changes times and seasons;

he sets up kings and deposes them.

He gives wisdom to the wise

and knowledge to the discerning

Romans 13:1-4 (NIV)

Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you. 4For he is God's servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God's servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.

As I prayed to make sure I understood, I believe the Lord said,

"Ishmael has risen against Israel. Did I not say to Abraham whoever blesses you I will bless and whoever curses you will be cursed." Ishmael and others have risen against Israel. They have killed Israeli's in the streets.

I also saw sand and a map of the middle east. There was a lot of blood on the ground. It was the blood of the Saints staining the ground. The Lord said that as the blood of Abel cried out from the ground, so too did the blood of believers that were killed in these Middle East nations. The Lord said that we would avenge their deaths and his wrath would come upon them. God's judgment is righteous and true.

I also sensed, though not specifically satated that the Lord put the sword in President Bush's hand and is not going to take it away. Indeed that he is giving the President a sword with greater reach.

There is a sound of war, a sure sound of war. There is a sound of preparation of war. The enemy is arrayhing his army against the Saints, but the Lord himself is raising the standard against the enemy and will execute judgement.

I believe that the President will win re-election and that he is doing the will of God and the Lord calls him his servant.

Isn't Shady Grove in Irving not Grand Prairie?

The current location I believe is in Irving, but the ANHOP building and the new location, I believe is Grand Prairie. It's further south. I could be wrong. If it's in Irving, it's just barely.

Different branch of Chrisitanity from me, but I'm with you on this. I was praying last week at a time I have set aside to pray for this country and President Bush and I was very troubled and fearful.

A calm assurance came over me that he will win and it won't be close. I've only had this type of answer in prayer a few times, once when I was deathly ill, once in a bad situation, and believe it or not, last year when my house cat got out and was lost. (Yup. Got the cat back after nine days in a series of circumstances that coalesced within a 10 minute time that is just amazing.)

George W. Bush is a gift to his family, to me, to our country, and to the World.

He has spoken to my head and my heart and opened my eyes to ideas and visions of the world I am thankful for and that make so much sense to me - where before there were only incongruencies. I am stronger in my convictions than I've ever been before.

He is the best man to lead.
