God is going to increasingly make that the litmus test.

Organized RELIGION will fail and be swept onto the dung pile with the rest of 'modern' society.

A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD will be crucial for survival though many true believers will be martyred. And that post about the devout Buddhist monk's true life story says it all.

Post #1423 of that same thread is further sobering.

I wish I could say that goodness and light will win the day regarding your loved one and your family. That will only be the true for those who learn the lessons the Buddhist monk learned. I hope they don't have to go through his school and pay his tuition. Millions WON'T have THAT extra chance.

It's not a matter of wishing trouble on your loved one. It's a matter of saving her from themselves; their bankrupt values and from eternal isolation from God. The stakes are getting stark. The same is true for all of us.

I don't think that mamby pamby prayers will do a lot for anyone any more. Mamby pamby que sera sera days are over.

It's a dramatic and awesomely--brutally desperate to have to pray--WHATEVER IT TAKES, LORD, SAVE MY LOVED ONE.

BUT IT'S WORSE to NOT pray that way and have the loved one dance and slide their way into hell and eternal isolation from God when they might have been rescued from the jaws of eternal death by such desperate praying.

Wish I didn't have to speak so firmly. I just have no peace or quiet in my spirit to be less than honest with you. Prayers for all of you. Thanks for your vulnerable sharing with me.

As for the heavy Word through Samuel Doctorian, have been crying in my heart to the Lord to do His sovereign will in each life and to anoint us to be bright lights and convicting presences and lively words everywhere through the time that remains.

As the Twin Towers fell in 2001 and three years later the earthquake happened with resulting tsunamis through Asia, seems like a pretty brisk pace to the fulfillment of all of them.

Luke 21:34-36

34“Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you unexpectedly like a trap. 35For it will come upon all those who live on the face of the whole earth. 36Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.”

Rev.3:14-19, church of Laodica (lukewarm church) is the church of today.

I don't think that the messages in Rev to the churches were prophetic of the entire body of Christ... then or in the end times. If you select one message to represent the entire body of Christ (God's church... not churches) at a particular time, then you must also use the other messages to represent the entire body of Christ at some other period in time. And, since these messages are so different in nature, the body of all messages would represent a rollercoaster ride that God's Church simply hasn't been on.

I believe that the messages in Rev were specific to groups of believers at that time... however all of the common successes and failures of different churches throughout this age are most likely represented in these messages.

I'm pretty confident that my challenge is unbeatable for this reason... Failure of God's Church would have to be defined as "no Spirit-led evangelism which results in the winning of soles'. That is what the Church's mission is... and as long as the Holy Spirit is here, that Spirit-led evangelism will continue until the Holy Spirit is removed (along with us with Him)

As for a massive revival occuring, there is no revival, only attempts to minic one. What translation are using?

The signs and wonders are only beginning.
The things this world will see THIS YEAR and in the remaining years (if there are any) will be NOTHING like man has ever seen before... Lots of prophesies in the bible on this.
Think about it... what happened immediately after 9/11? If you remember, more than half of this nation was practically on it's knees!... Talk of God was all over the TV... and continues in even greater frequency today. What do you think will happen when even greater events (such as the Tsunami) start occurring with the type of frequency which leaves little doubt that God is involved? Yes... the massive revival IS occuring... it is occuring now... Bush's massive victory at the polls speaks of it. The unprecedented coverage of God and Christianity in the news today speaks of it. God's Church is winning more lost soles today than it ever has before, and this trend will continue until we have reached all corners of the earth.

While it is true all seven churches could be found operating during any one particular age, one type seemed to define the age as such.

Thus, this age, the laodican period is defined as being 'lukewarm', rejecting sound doctrine, having itching years.

As for a 'revival'much of what is preached as the Gospel is not the gospel, but a new age substitute "come join Jesus'.

The diasters that we are seeing in these days are not changing mens hearts, but after a short time they return to their old ways.

The re-election of Bush was an encouraging sign that God in His mercy maybe giving this nation some more time to repent.

Winning souls is not a sign of revival, since even in the Tribulation, souls will be won.

HERE'S A DREAM THAT CAME via FREEPMAIL from another
FREEPER. It rings true to my spirit. Would love discerning comment from those gifted in such:

"There is going to be a major disruption in a region of the world that will affect everyone. The world is now seriously out of conformance with the Will of God and what He created and intended.

There are those who would reconfigure the very creatures He has formed, and who meddle with the texture of life. For this reason, the Lord will allow a huge reorientation. If not for the action of Heaven, what God has created on earth will soon be damaged beyond recovery.

A very dramatic effect already is in progress as regards the support structures of what man calls nature. Such cannot be allowed to take the final realization of total realignment when it comes to the very way elements and life forces interact.

The event to come will surprise everyone who has offered a prognostication, and will show even recalcitrant scientists, though not all, that there is a fundamental alarm in Heaven over their arrogant and wayward course. Nothing that is artificial in a way that disrupts what God intended will be allowed to stand.

"Heed this too: the politics of denial will be struck as with a plague.

"The smallest of what lives is precious in My sight.

"The angels have their instruction from east to west, and now a timetable has been set in motion.

"When the huge light is seen, I will act in a way I have not acted before."

It was an unusual light, seen in the skies over Europe, that constituted the "great sign" of Fatima in 1938.

First let me reclarify what we are arguing about here...
It is my belief that the church will grow stronger in the last days before the rapture... not weaker. There is a common misconception based upon an errant translation of 2 Thes. 2:3... "...that day will not come unless the falling away comes first" (some versions say apostacy, which is a mis-translation of the mis-translation). The correct translation is found in the Hebrew Names version which uses the word 'departure' (or rapture) which of course lines up with verse 7 which mentions the rapture again as the removal of the Holy Spirit from the earth (giving free reign to the anti-christ) And, of course, since the Holy Spirit indwells us, and the Lord would never leave us nor forsake us, we who have the Holy Spirit will depart with Him.

How does this relate? God's Church does not become apostate as a sign of the end times according to this verse... Of course if you believe the mis-translation, then you would have to conclude just the opposite... which leads me to my original challenge: Show me a confirming prophetic indication that God's Church (not many individuals) becomes apostate... you wont find one. I do not see evidence that there is any laodican period... only a city of Laodicea

Now to what I was chewing on for a day... Consider what we are REALLY arguing about; What prompts God to end the age of Grace and begin the age of judgment? Is it the failure of His own children? or is it the sin of the Godless? When does God decide He has had enough, and begins the great tribulation? Of course nobody knows when, but we should know why... because He has done it before. Who is the judgment against? The saved or the lost? I submit that the judgment is against the lost... for His own children escape judgment through the Blood Of Christ.

Now... about who is really winning the soles... is it christians? the church as a whole? or is it the Holy Spirit? If God really loves ALL men, then wouldn't He increase His efforts in EVERY way possible to reach the lost before He drops the hatchet? I would think so. I seriously doubt that God would give up on the lost because His bride has grown lukewarm.

I certainly understand and identify with your sentiment regarding the state of the Church. It is certainly not all that God would like it to be. Our complacency and idleness I'm sure is very frustrating to God. This is one of the reasons we will begin seeing signs and wonders... the beginning of birth pains... the beginnings of the end. These events WILL awaken a sleeping church, and the result will be revival and cleansing. Will it be that noticeable to the world? Probably not. Will it be noticeable to christians? Some are already noticing.

Bottom line... It's not about what the christians are or are not doing... it's about what the Holy Spirit is doing.

This sounds like one of those strange people with strange mystical ideas. My first reaction is that this person is what would be described as a "mystic" today. In other words a person who is inluenced more by the"paranormal" (spirits or spirit world) than by God Himself. A very deceptive thing in the last days. If you notice there is very little said about the Word of God, and that is the true measure of anything. There will be a lot of "paranormal" (above the normal) things taking place in order to deceive and prepare the way for the anti-christ, who will be the "master deceiver". The emphasis in the article was on the course of "nature", and not necessarily on the disobedience to God's Word. Jesis said that in the last days many would come saying here is Christ, or there is Christ (i.e., this represents Christ or that represents Christ). It is a fact that nature is going to go through a convulsion of sorts because of what "God's Word" says in reference to the last days before Christ's return.

Re. post #1402, I believe this is worth repeating and will do so:

'Lake of fire

But my spirit was wide awake I found myself in a powerful storm which blew everything away. Not a single tree, nothing was left standing. I was in an empty plain. Buddha in Hell

Two paths

On the way back, I saw two paths, one wide, one narrow. The narrow path, which I followed for about an hour, was soon made of pure gold. I could see my own reflection perfectly! A man calling himself Peter told me 'Now go back to tell the people who worship Buddha and other gods that they will end up in Hell if they do not change. They should believe in Jesus. ...'

This is a powerful example of the saving power of the Lord Jesus and of His unique position as the only savior, the only way to the Father.

'I study earthquakes and seismology in my spare time. Quake effects don't just end in a few days. They go on for weeks and there are many factors involved. This one was pretty well centered in Indonesia. I can guarantee you that it won't stay there. In my opinion, the USA is the next big target either directly or indirectly as quakes bounce. Some who study quakes know this and if they live on the West Coast, they are very nervous. It is an argument of mammoth proportions.

If this is accurate, those of us in the USA can't just send dollars to Samaritan's Purse and Operation Blessing and feel like we are finished responding to what is said to be the biggest natural disaster in 400 years. It means the next quake may be here at home, affecting our loved ones and our fellow Americans out on the west coast. Or maybe in other parts of North America.

Which means praying even more for those we know and love out thattaway as well as for everyone out there and to continue seeking Him for a revival, a harvest of souls.

The pain of losing him was SO REAL. ... when I cried out to the Lord why and everything went white then the colored horn of plenty appearing with his words spoken. THAT may have been a sign as it was so out of context to the rest of the dream and he actually answered me.'

Thank you for sharing that dream. It is sobering. And my heart goes out as you want to take excellent care of your son and to keep him safe. The Lord does hear a mother's prayers, so do continue praying for King Vanity.

Might I suggest a prayer such as:

"Father God, in Jesus' Name I ask You to watch over me and my son. I ask for You to pour deliverance, salvation, and healing into us now and always until the end of time. In Jesus' Name please do Your sovereign will in our lives and bring us to the place where we seek after, choose, and walk in that. I plead the Blood of Jesus over myself and my son. I ask You to be with us always. I entrust myself and my son to Your care, in this life and in the world to come. I place my trust in You and I ask You to help me trust You more and more. I call on the Name of Jesus and it's in Jesus' Name I pray, Thank You Father God, AMEN."

re. #1421, the prophecy of great impact, towards the beginning is,

'I had seen myself in a great meeting of multitudes, and I was preaching in English. ... I was prophesying this message: "My church, you preach love, you teach love, but you need to practice love - to show love. There is need of unity in my body. There are many divisions among you. My spirit will not move and work where there is no unity. There is carnality in my church; too much uncleanness in my church. I desire and I want a holy people. I died to made you holy."'

The Samuel Doctorian prophecy is long and possibly overwhelming. I note here that it starts out with a call to the church for unity, an end to divisions. The Lord's Spirit will not move and work otherwise. We are to rid ourselves of uncleanness. He died to make us holy.

Let us take heed of this. We need a move of the Spirit. Let's not hinder that.
