Regardless,
hideous cash flow empheses etc. on the part of a vast number of churches . . .
will all be experiencing some serious disciplines of The Lord in all denominations and most groups, sadly.
A main reason I hold out for Russia fulfilling a lot of the Gog/Magog etc. prophecies . . .
One of the Scriptures refers to the uttermost North or some such. Moscow is the only capital/country that fits that from Jerusalem.
I agree about respite, breather period only.
Let us work while there's light!
I knew Jesus could see into the hearts of men. I didn't realize you are also blessed with that ability.
YUP!
Though there's a lot of Chinese I'd like to finish loving into The Kingdom, if God will allow.
Am heartily in belief of and support of the Blood Covenant.
I just don't construe it precisely as you do.
I don't follow what you're going on about now, at all.
But I doubt seriously that we're likely to come to great agreement on constructions of Scriptural reality on such points this side of Heaven.
Wish it were otherwise and perhaps God WILL make the unity differently than I think.
I think He will insist that it's based on Christ's Blood first, middle and last--and the Love and Grace, forebearance flowing out of that vs agreeing on every jot and tittle.
And, where reasonable people can differ both based on Scripture, as long as our hearts are intent on intimacy with God and our behavior earnestly leaning that way, I am confident God will make up the differences.
Depends. But you do seem to wear yours on your intellectual sleeve rather overtly.
He and I dialogue rather ongoingly.
I'm really NOT interested in pretending to dialogue with you AT ALL about that.
Please go chase some of your hyper Calvinist ducks on their threads. You folks' habit of hijacking other threads for such diatribes is EXTREMELY ANNOYING.
Cheers.
Didn't we all die when we passed Y2K ?
bookmarking & thanks Qx.
bump for later.
Quix, can you ping me on this stuff?
Absolutely. Indeed, it has been increasingly obvious for centuries, and no doubt will continue becoming increasingly obvious for centuries more.
I apologize for being overly quick to paint you with the same 'diatribe' brush as your cohorts. I am making progress but still have plenty to make to avoid such knee-jerk responses to 'merely' part of the duck before all the evidence about it's ducky-ness are in. AND I will note that it did FEEL LIKE one was looming. I am extremely . . . wary, annoyed, burned, distasteful of such ilk beyond what my words can easily or very politely convey well at all.
Your point about II Thes 2:3 is of no consequence to me. Doesn't impact my theology in the least.
If you doubt that . . .
Your article gives us the following definition of the Christian's primary calling, in the third paragraph from the top:
"The Great Commission tells us to be disciples to all nations..."
Whereas the Great Commission, in Matthew 28, actually records Jesus commanding us to make disciples of all nations. Matthew, the gospel writer documents an entirely different command than what article author Jennifer Rast does, wouldn't you say?
I don't doubt the sincerity of the article, but frankly I have to doubt the author's familiarity with the Bible, or at least their "construct of Scriptural reality" in comparison to the real thing, when said author is caught changing the plain text of a well-known scripture.
The more spiritually sensitive and gifted Believers that I knew at the time kept saying that Y2K was not going to be any big deal.
Other sources said afterwards that they felt God had allowed it as a dry run to prepare for horrid times which are coming sooner than a lot of people imagine they will.
