Actually, not even a Protestant, the guy you’re referring to, Bertolt Brecht, was an up and out Communist who was in bed with the KGB, and in fact that whole demonization of Pius XII via “The Deputy” was specifically created as part of one of the KGB’s disinformation campaigns.
