One of my favorite quotes from Orthodoxy
"It is a dream that every man should live in a house, it is a nightmare that every man should live in the same house "
(speaking on socialism)
Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834-1892) was another great man.
Like G. K.Chesterton, he was a prolific writer who spread the Gospel and is known today as the "prince of preachers." On certain Sundays when he preached in London, he implored his regular chuch members to stay home in order to make room for the countless many who traveled to hear him.
Both of these men share a prominent place on my bookshelf and in my heart--but not necessarily in that order.
