Thanks for posting this rather comprehensive summary of the specific details why evolution and the creation story of Genesis are incompatible.

Yes, very comprehensive. Until today, I had thought Evolution and Genesis were compatible, and that one could truly believe both.

You have opened my eyes. They are directly, absolutely, irreconcilably incompatible.

Since all the evidence of my senses tells me that evolution is real, and really happened, only one conclusion is possible.

Genesis is a lie. Religion is false. All religious people are total fruitcakes and nut cases.

May your long and persuasive arguments win over many more doubters to the True Faith of Atheism.

That is what you wanted, right?

(Psa 53:1 KJV) To the chief Musician upon Mahalath, Maschil, A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.

(Psa 53:2 KJV) God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.

(Psa 53:3 KJV) Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

(Psa 53:4 KJV) Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God.

(Psa 53:5 KJV) There were they in great fear, where no fear was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: thou hast put them to shame, because God hath despised them.

(Psa 53:6 KJV) Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When God bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

Just curious -- which senses would those be?

Actually, if that's what you wish to believe, be my guest. Frankly, I'd rather have someone come out and admit that they are an atheist/agnostic than to try and cobble together incompatible geohistories to try and cling to the "Christian" label.

Friend, don't give up hope. Don't let anyone push you out. God created the world, but the Bible is not a book of science. It's a book of theology and history (and poetry and more!). The Bible is the story of God's salvation of man, with a preamble about our creation. Focus on Christ, not competing interpretations of Genesis.
