Peter was not a pope, he was an APOSTLE, the word pope is not even in the bible. In the bible the Apostles are not voted on by a 2/3 majority , they are chosen by the Lord and ascended from the 12 APOSTLES. When the leader dies, the NEXT or number 1 apostle becomes leader, and a new 12th apostle is chosen by the Lord. That is the way Christ set it up and it remains the same today ! Your only claim to the see is that Peter lived and died in Rome, so he MUST have left the keys there ! Your own literature states that the keys was TAKEN not given by Peter.

Peter's title, given to him numerous times throughout the gospels, is "primus." This is usually translated as "first," but each account of the call of the first disciples informs us that Peter was not, in fact, chosen first. "Primus," in fact, is used as a title throughout the Greco-Roman world.

Peter is referred to more often in the gospels than all disciples put together. In fact, for 26 chapters, Luke-Acts contains no conversations among the disciples (other than Judas) that does not center around Peter. It is in a private conversation with Peter that Jesus says, "Shepherd my sheep." Bear in mind Jesus called himself, "The Good Shpeherd," which is why the office of Peter is called, "Vicar of Christ."

"Pope" is a crude name given in English to the Bishop of Rome, derived from "Il Papa," or "The Daddy."

Pure fantasy. There is no biblical account of the death of Peter (except possibly a prophetic allusion in Revelations, depending on how you interpret some pretty esoteric stuff), so there is no reference to how the primacy was passed on.

Jesus, when he appointed the disciples, gave them charge to rule the church. The means by which they do so was granted unto them. "Whatever you declare loosed (permitted) on Earth shall be loosed in Heaven, and whatever you declare bound (prohibited by law) on Earth shall be bound in Heaven."
